Takom Mk.IV

  • move
Anrey built this Mk.IV based on the photos of the British tank with serial number 2732 and the name "Chaperon". The tank participated in the advance on Cambrai at the end of 1917. On November 20, on the first day of the British offensive, the tank was accompanying the British infantry when it was hit and burnt by German artillery. After the German counter-offensive, the tank became a popular "tourist" object among German troops. Surprisingly many photos and even a cinematic chronicle with this tank have survived after 100 years.

Andrey used the Takom kit with resin tracks from MasterClub. Some details and the base were built from scratch.

Really unique positioning of the MK.IV, gives a good look at how cumbersome early tanks could be. The detailing, groundwork, and painting are simply outstanding!!
